For 25 years I have provided private voice, songwriting and piano instruction in the Detroit Metro area. My music studio has most recently been represented on the Broadway stage with studio alumni in the International Tour of Sister Act The Musical, the National Tour of Beauty and The Beast and starring on The Disney Cruise Line main stage.  This past summer my studio alums performed at The Papermill Playhouse in Mary Poppins, Maine State Theatre in Newsies, Interlakes Summer Theatre in South Pacific and Cats, Surflight Theatre in Newsies, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Footloose. 

My students are headlining as solo pop artists, pop/rock/metal bands and singer songwriters.  Most notably a Fielder Studio alumnus released her first single , in July 2017, with Katy Perry's label, Unsub Records, and Capitol Records.  The band, As Voices Echo,who's lead singer is a Fielder Studio student, will be releasing their first EP in April and recently headlined the Michigan Music Festival. Another studio alum recently interned as a songwriter in Nashville.

 Many of my alumni are performing and studying with opera companies in the United States and Europe.  Most recently The Fielder Studio of Music was represented at the Metropolitan Opera in Candide and as a Production assistant with the Houston Ballet. 

Many of my students have become performers, voice teachers and choir directors.  I have students currently studying Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre, Songwriting, Music Business and Music Technology at leading colleges in the field, across the United States. My students have also graced Metro Detroit area stages in The Detroit Concert Choir, Rackham Symphony Choir, The Michigan Opera Theatre and various high school and community theatre musicals and concerts.  

I have studied Voice at Westminster Choir College, Marygrove College and The University of Michigan.  I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Piano Pedagogy.  I continue to study with master teachers in Michigan and NYC.  I attend workshops and classes regularly. Most recently I attended a workshop with the creator of The Zen of Screaming, Melissa Cross and I studied with Broadway Style Coach, Sheri Sanders, in her innovative Rock Broadway class, Rock The Audition.

 In 2016 I was awarded The Joan Frey Boytim Award for Independent Studio Teachers, by The National Association of Teachers of Singing at the National Conference in Chicago.   I am an adjudicator for The National Association of Teacher's of Singing, MSVMA Solo & Ensemble and The National Federation of Music Clubs. I serve on the Michigan NATS board as Secretary.   I am currently teaching Voice, Piano,College Audition Prep, Coaching Musicals, Coaching Bands and Singer/Songwriters and accompanying.
